How does the assessment process work?

Our experts will discuss the process with our clients and, once it has been determined that they are eligible, he will need to gather evidence to prove his competence. This can include:

  •  100 points of ID
  •  reference letters or workplace documents with job descriptions
  •  pictures and or video evidences of the different tasks performed on the job

  •  other relevant experience and skills

The evidence our client provide should confirm that he has worked in the industry for an appropriate amount of time, and that he can perform relevant tasks at an acceptable level. Face to face (in the workplace where possible) and or online interviews are usually carried out to makes it easier to demonstrate your skills.

Is the process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) an easy or complicated process?

RPL process is not a complicated process. Ourexperts are on hand to provide you with the help and support you need in relation to:

  • explaining the process for your easy and better understanding

  • help completing the relevant forms
  • and information on what you should do to apply for a license if needed

Who is eligible or qualified to apply for a qualification via recognition of prior learning (RPL)?

Anyone with prior learning and or experience can apply.

How much does the RPL cost?

The costs depend on the level of qualification and individual circumstances.

How long does it take to get a qualification?

In general, the RPL process can be completed within a few weeks and depends on the amount of recognition required, and the amount of time it takes for our clients to gather all the evidence.

What should I do if I need help during the process?

Your expert will be available to discuss the process, or to advise you on gathering supporting documents or evidence.

Can someone use previous study as their evidence?

Certainly! But, it is important to be able to show that someone has maintained and applied those skills in subsequent years.

What if I can’t or don’t have proof of my previous qualifications?

In these circumstances, please contact the educationalinstitute where you completed the studies. They should be able to provide you with a copy of your qualification achieved by you previously. If that is not an option, you will have to discuss other ways in which you can demonstrate your competence with your experts.

Is it easier and cheaper to just enrol in the courses?

In general, recognition of prior learning will save your time and money. You will not have to pay for resource materials and you already have all the basic skills, unless there are gaps that require class attendance or workplace training.

What will happen if my application for a qualification via RPL is unsuccessful?

We have placeda pre-assessment process that is free of charge, and it takes place prior to enrolment. If you are not eligible for an RPL, we will be able to determine it during the pre-assessment phase.

Is it possible for immigrantsto be recognised their prior learning in Australia?

Certainly! However, if you need skills assessment to obtain a visa, please first check with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to ensure that you apply for a skills assessment under the correct program for the visa you need.

Can I apply for RPL if I’m in Australia on a Subclass 457 Visa?

Yes. Primary Subclass 457 Visa holders can apply for RPL.
